
The British Powerlifting Championships 2008

The premier event in the British strength athletics calendar, this is an exciting display from the cream of British lifting talent.
This year’s championships will be hotly contested at each weight class, including the greatest showdown in powerlifting history; Andy Bolton (the first man to deadlift over 1000lbs) takes on 3-time Britian’s Strongest Man winner, Glenn “The Daddy” Ross and US powerlifting legend Donnie Thompson in an attempt to crash the World Record barrier and be crowned “The Strongest Athlete in History”!!!

Donnie Thompson is the top US SHW lifter, a current IPA SHW Champion and record holder. He has come across for the clash with Andy Bolton to determine history's strongest powerlifter!"
Former powerlifter Svend Karlsen will be providing the TV commentary, he has won World' Strongest Man and is a presentator of the WSM contest.
